Wrong. I love parties, but not the kind of parties that my family throws/goes. The first part on my undoubtedly eventful saturday was my brother's birthday party. Due to the recent snowstorm, the parents decided that it would be best to have a sledding/snow themed birthday party. Nothing to wake you up in the afternoon like nine to ten year olds, some of who have a few pounds and inches on me, screaming and jumping around. I was dreading chaperoning them, but playing in the snow knocked them out enough to be bearable. In all honesty, the party went smoother than I expected, but I was still glad when they all left. Finally I could enjoy the rest of my saturday, then the parents said, "we're going to a get-together thrown by our friend group!" Really? Wooo theres nothing more fun than hanging out with half-drunk adults while my brother plays with friends, as, suspiciously enough, none of the families in our "friend circle" have children who are near my age. Thankfully, today was uneventful and rather boring.
